Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra Orpheum Theatre - Madison Concert reviews
Black and White Swan over-hyped
This ballet, as billed, was exactly what the title says. We would not have spent $150 for this performance had we known that in fact, that portion of the show was only a few minutes long and the rest was other arrangements upon arrival. As long time fans of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, we expected to get what we paid for. First and third acts were pretty good, but NOT what we paid to see. Overall, the performances were good. Next time, we will be sure to read numerous reviews before spending our hard earned money for something that was advertised incorrectly. Our usher regrettably informed us as we were entering the theater that the snacks and drinks sold outside the door were not allowed. It was later discovered that she had been mis-informed by her supervisor, but by then, it was too late. Bad management, perhaps? Basically wasted a $7 drink so that we could enter and be on time.
